If you’ve been told there’s nothing you can do about this… run the other way and find another therapist! And look deeper into the emotional aspect.
This is a condition I used to miss 1-2 times and then never again.
It often gets diagnosed in the later stages, after seeing many therapists and specialists.
And by the time you have an answer, you're told you can't do anything. Wrong!
Hopefully this podcast episode (accompanied by a youtube video of me trying to describe the movements) will help you work out if you have frozen shoulder in the earlier rather than later stages.
I cover what frozen shoulder looks like, the underlying emotions and people I used to see it in as well as what you can do physically to help it.
Here is an additional video on how I used to treat frozen shoulder… on my husband Gav!
There’s so many complexities to it beyond the physical and tuning into the person you’re working with.
Gav releases through laughter. Most people would cry when I do this to them. And then their shoulder drops back…
It’s the one condition and probably the only one I push into pain on a physical level.
If you scrub the video you can see how much movement he gets during this session.
